Staying at Aberbran Fawr Campsite opens up a plethora of activities and things to do for all the family. Your stay with us will be an absolute delight as there are so many Places of Interest in and around Brecon.

There are a wide range of adventure activities In the area such as Rock Climbing, Caving, Open Canoeing, Kayaking, Gorge Walking, White Water Rafting, Clay Pigeon Shooting, Archery, High Level Ropes, Raft Building, Land Carting, Abseiling, Orienteering, Paintballing, Mountain biking and even Canoe and Bike Hire.

There are many walks in the area, for those that are interested in a leisurely stroll and those that are more adventurous.

There are approximately 100km of public rights of way in Brecon, 23km of these lay within the Brecon Beacons National Park.

This is a beautiful part of Wales, with traditional market towns, stunning landscapes, canal paths, castles and plenty of family attractions. The scenery here is both beautiful and diverse - rolling countryside and valleys, wide open spaces to the wild beauty of the waterfalls and caves.

Brecon, or Aberhonddu as it is known in Welsh is an historic market town in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park. Ancient Britons, Romans and Normans have each left their mark on Brecon. Brecon boasts a cathedral, theatre, cinema, castle ruins, and a range of restaurants and shops.

Wales has 311 miles of traffic-free rides, perfect for families with children. For lovers of quiet lanes, Aberbran Fawr Campsite is a base for any activity break or holiday. And if you want to cycle long distance, there’s that too.

We have many attractions on the doorstep which you may not be aware of, such as the Monmouth to Brecon Canal, Cantref Adventure Farm
and Brecon Mountain Railway.

As well the many great attractions nearby, each year the area is host to popular festivals and shows, such as the Brecon County Show,
Brecon Jazz Weekend, Hay Festival, Green Man Festival, Royal Welsh Show, and lots more to see and do!

Mid Wales and the Brecon Beacons features incredible natural beauty, wildlife and cultural heritage.  It's a destination for all seasons, with National Trails, festivals and pretty spa and market towns.
